VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - ANGEL TREE PROJECT 2023

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - ANGEL TREE PROJECT 2023

In an era of global uncertainty, instabilities and insecurities inevitably arise. Even as Singapore enters a new season having recently elected a new President, many of us are still navigating the unknowns. There are others in our community, like the families of the incarcerated, who are trying to make ends meet but are overwhelmed with a myriad of challenges and uncertainties.

Given the current economic realities this year, Angel Tree Project 2023 (ATP2023) is yet another faith challenge. But with great confidence that our God will continue to provide for those in need, Pentecost Methodist Church is honoured to partner Prison Fellowship Singapore (PFS) once again in this meaningful initiative.

As a community of believers, let us come together as one body in Christ to share God's ultimate plan to reconcile sinners to Himself and to the families of the incarcerated. This has always been God’s plan and I believe, remains the primary call of the New Testament church today.

We warmly invite you join us in ATP2023. We are looking for at least 60 volunteers. Through your participation, you can form the link between the church and the inmates’ families, and may they feel the love of Christ through the church.

Please sign-up by Saturday 11 November 2023, via MyPMC App, scan the QR code or the following link: https://pmc-angeltree2023.paperform.co/

Please contact Faithe (PMC ATP Coordinator) @ 97686685 or email to pmcangeltree@gmail.com for more information.

About Angel Tree Project

The Angel Tree Project was founded by Prison Fellowship Singapore (PFS) in 2005 with a

vision to bring the hearts of inmates and their loved ones together in the spirit of Christmas.

Over the years, we have witnessed how inmates have found Christ in prison and how the

Word of God has transformed them.

With this initiative, inmates are given an opportunity to seek forgiveness and share with their families how God has touched their lives. Hand-written letters with powerful messages of hope and reconciliation are written by inmates and are personally delivered with a gift card by PFS volunteers to each of the families.

Volunteers – What to expect:

1. Volunteers will be paired to visit assigned families. Hence you may sign-up as individuals or buddies.

2. The delivery of gifts will be in December. The actual date/time is to be arranged by the volunteers with the assigned families.

There will be a briefing session for volunteers sometime in late November.

Note: Prison pass holders are not allowed to participate in this project as per Singapore Prison regulations.
