Let’s GROW - FAQ
WHY DO WE NEED TO GROW?
Over the years, God has blessed PMC with many opportunities to serve the Pasir Ris community through ministries such as Acts of Love, Banquet of Love, and partnerships with LoveSingapore, The New Charis Mission, and Bethesda Bedok-Tampines Church.
By God’s grace, the number of worshippers at PMC on Sundays has grown from 775 in 2021/2022 to 879 in 2024/2025.
PMC’s calling has always been to bring God’s presence, power, peace, and purposes to Pasir Ris and beyond. As we continue to serve our community and disciple one another, God is blessing us with opportunities to grow in faith and impact. Together, we are building lives, not just facilities, preparing to welcome the harvest that God is already bringing to our doorstep.
GROW - Pasir Ris is expected to grow by another 7,000 new homes and about 23,000 new residents. With the new MRT stations in the coming years, connecting Pasir Ris to Changi Airport, Punggol, and Ang Mo Kio, we believe God is calling PMC to prepare both spiritually and physically for growth. The redevelopment plan is therefore not just about space, it’s about our mission. We want our facilities to better support outreach, discipleship, and community engagement as we live out God’s purpose for our church.
WHAT DOES “GROW” MEAN FOR PMC?
To “Grow” means much more than numerical increase. It is about transformation in three areas:
Grow in God: Deepen our relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and discipleship.
Grow as a Church Family: Strengthen bonds of fellowship, accountability, and care within our community.
Grow with Our Community: Continue to love, serve, and reach the people of Pasir Ris with the hope of Christ.
We renewed our land-lease with the intention of sinking deeper roots into Pasir Ris, and ensuring our church is seen as a beacon of love in our Community.
The authorities have now allowed denser use of the land our church sits on. This is an opportunity to add new space, refresh our facilities, and reimagine what our church can be. Any future improvements to our facilities are simply a means to support this mission, creating spaces where people can encounter God, grow in faith, and serve others.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE PMC TASK FORCE?
The purpose of the PMC Task Force is to sharpen our church’s calling in our community and the nations, and to GROW.
The team comprises leaders and members from different ministries, representing the diverse voices of our church family. With PMC’s mission being at the forefront of what they do, they actively seek God’s direction for how PMC can GROW, spiritually, relationally, and in the stewardship of our physical space.
Their role is to ascertain the needs and growth opportunities of PMC, evaluate the church’s current facilities, gather feedback from the leaders and congregation, and develop a feasible plan that reflects our shared mission and vision.
WHAT IS THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN?
Our goal is not to tear down and rebuild (redevelop) the entire church, but to take on an addition & alteration methodology to maximise and add new space to better support our mission and future growth.
The Task Force is currently assessing how our facilities can be redesigned or upgraded to:
Support expanding ministries and new outreach opportunities and church-wide survey to be rolled out in 2026. This will help guide the next phase of planning.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
There are several ways you can be part of this journey:
Pray: Ask God for wisdom and guidance as we plan for the future of our church
Participate: Share your thoughts in the congregational survey
Partner: As plans take shape, there will be opportunities to serve and give, so that we can build, not just a facility, but a lasting foundation for ministry
As our proposed tagline reminds us, our focus is not merely on a building but on our tagline: “Let’s Grow”
HOW DO I SHARE MY COMMENTS WITH THE TASKFORCE?
We welcome your feedback and insights. Your voice matters in shaping the future of our church.
You can share your comments through:
The upcoming congregational survey to be rolled out in 2026, which will be available in the church bulletin and website.
Direct conversations with Taskforce members or pastoral staff.
A PMC Townhall that will be organised to hear from the congregation.
Together, let us seek God’s will as we continue to build His kingdom, not just with bricks and mortar, but with faith, love, and purpose.
